It is impossible to “give” part of the territory of Ukraine to other countries, said Viktor Sobolev, a member of the State Duma Defense Committee, in a conversation with socialbites.ca. This is how he interpreted the map that Dmitry Medvedev showed in Sochi – on the map Ukraine is divided between Russia, Poland, Hungary and Romania. According to Sobolev, this is “not entirely true.”

“I served in Western Ukraine, especially in the Transcarpathian region, for almost 8 years. These are our people. How do we return it to Romania? How do we give it? Let’s say I disagree with this question. We are not brother nations, we are one people. Who founded Moscow? Kyiv Prince Yuri Dolgoruky. Who founded Yaroslavl? Prince of Kyiv Yaroslav the Wise. Who baptized Rus? Prince Vladimir of Kiev, but at first he was from Novgorod. Who was the main Voivode in Dmitry Donskoy’s army? Bobrok Volynsky. We are one people. In my personal opinion, it is not entirely correct to give it to someone (region – socialbites.ca) in advance. I listened carefully to Vladimir Vladimirovich, he said: “Sooner or later we will unite anyway.” And there the West (Ukraine – socialbites.ca) beats Poland, etc. He didn’t say we would leave. Why suddenly Poland? I agree with the president who said we will unite sooner or later. Why should we surrender to someone? This means that our ancestors achieved the unification of these lands with their blood, including during the Great Patriotic War, and suddenly we are giving something to someone. “I think this is wrong,” he said.

According to Sobolev, it is wrong to strengthen “unfriendly” countries. He added that Russia should not give land to anyone, as any “part” of Ukraine could be made anti-Russian.

“These are now hostile countries; both Poland and Romania. Will we strengthen unfriendly countries with territory? I think this is wrong too. This is my personal personal opinion and I am in favor of uniting where this issue arises. Therefore, I believe that we should not give to anyone what our great ancestors collected first in the Russian Empire, and then in the Soviet Union. Moreover, we took Avdeevka so far, I think we are moving towards (to achieve these goals – socialbites.ca) the clearly and clearly stated goals of the operation: de-Naziization, demilitarization of Ukraine. Even if we give up part of the same Romania, the West will still try to create anti-Russian sentiment from them,” thinks the State Duma deputy.

On March 4, Russian Security Council Deputy Chairman Dmitry Medvedev, speaking at the “Bilgi.First” marathon, showed a “new” map of Eastern Europe, where the territory of present-day Ukraine is shown as part of other states. . Vinnitsa region is drawn here as part of Romania, Uzhgorod – Hungary; Lvov, Ivano-Frankivsk and Zhitomir are part of Poland, and the remaining regions (including Odessa, Nikolaev, Cherkasy, Chernigov, Poltava, Dnepr, Sumy) and unrecognized Transnistria are part of Russia. According to this map, Ukraine will remain Kiev and the Kiev region.

Medvedev already published this map on his Telegram channel in July 2022 – then wrote that this is how “Western analysts” see Ukraine.

Previously Medvedev appreciated The possibility of reviving the USSR.
