Former Austrian Foreign Minister Karin Kneissl said in a conference at the World Youth Festival that the West’s unilateral sanctions against Russia are ineffective. This was reported by TASS.

The former minister pointed out that unprecedented sanctions (17 thousand sanctions) were imposed on the Russian Federation in 2022. He reminded that in February the European Union implemented its 13th package of anti-Russian sanctions.

Kneissl noted that everything works in the Russian Federation.

“Those who come to Russia see that everything is going well, society continues to function. “Everything is much better than what is reflected in the Western media,” he said.

The former diplomat also said the cap on Russian oil “doesn’t work.”

This week Canadian Foreign Minister Mélanie Joly announcedHe said his country, together with its G7 partners, had imposed additional restrictions on the import of Russian diamonds. According to him, this ban further strengthens the restrictions that Ottawa introduced in December 2023 on the import of diamonds and diamond products from Russia.

Putin before named Sanctions against Russia are crazy and reckless.
