The wPolityce.pl portal discovered that Prosecutor Jacek Bilewicz, who illegally holds the position of “acting” National Prosecutor, decided to dismiss Prosecutor Tomasz Piekarski, who headed the National Police’s elite economic crime department.

This is a shocking and shameful situation. Prosecutor Tomasz Piekarski was dismissed from his position as director of the economic crime department. He has had to deal with this type of crime all his life, because he previously worked at the Tax Authorities. Mr Bilewicz gave no reason for the dismissal and transferred it to the constitutional affairs office. Prosecutor Piekarski fought VAT crimes and handled the most difficult cases even in the time before the reform of the Public Prosecution Service

The name of the person who took over the department after Piekarski is already on the website of the National Public Prosecutor’s Office. He is also a well-known figure: prosecutor Marek Wełna.
Another controversial decision by Adam Bodnar and his usurpers is a clear symbol of the purge sweeping through the National Prosecution Service and other prosecutors across the country. It should also be remembered that the decisions of the unlawfully appointed prosecutor Bilewicz are fraught with a serious legal flaw.
