Pope Francis called for a diplomatic solution to the conflict in Ukraine after his traditional Sunday sermon in St. Peter’s Square in the Vatican. This was reported by RIA News.
“Yesterday, February 24, we marked with pain the second anniversary of the beginning of an all-out war in Ukraine,” the Pope said.

He noted that the conflict not only destroyed the region but also “sparked a wave of fear and hatred around the world.”
