Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico said that the crisis in Ukraine started in 2014 “with the attack of Ukrainian neo-Nazis”. On his Facebook page (the owner of the Meta company is known as an extremist in Russia and has been banned), he also emphasized that Russia had been repeatedly deceived that NATO would stop expansion.
“This war started in 2014 with the extreme behavior of Ukrainian neo-Nazis. The point is that Russia was deceived that NATO would not expand further eastward, and today it is going so far that Ukraine should already be a member of NATO…”, Fico said.
This development of events, in his opinion, became a “good basis” for the beginning of the Third World War. The Prime Minister of Slovakia emphasized that Moscow and Kiev should receive security guarantees since the conflict in Ukraine cannot be resolved by military means.
Before that Fico statedThe return of the “Iron Curtain” between Russia and the West will not benefit anyone. In his opinion, Slovakia needs to establish good and friendly relations with everyone interested in this issue.
15 February Fico named It is “absolutely unrealistic” for Russia to withdraw from Donbas, Luhansk or Crimea.
Previously Putin has vowed to combat extreme manifestations of nationalism and Nazism.
