Early voting for the presidential elections has started in the Zaporozhye region. The head of the regional election commission, Galina Katyushchenko, told reporters about this. TASS.
According to him, the first to vote for candidates for the post of President of the Russian Federation should be residents of settlements in the combat contact line area. The agency’s source explained that this also applies to military personnel.
“The Zaporozhye Regional Election Commission provides organizational and methodological assistance in voting to this category of voters,” emphasized Katyushchenko.
Members of regional election commissions (PECs) are expected to visit the homes of residents of settlements close to the fighting line of contact. They will have ballot papers and ballot boxes with them. Additionally, experts will be given certificates.
In this case, citizens will need to show their passports. According to the decision of the regional election commission, you can vote using two types of passports – Russian or Ukrainian.
Voting centers in the Zaporozhye region will open on March 17. Presidential elections throughout the Russian Federation will be held between February 15 and 17 this year.
