European states are creating an atmosphere of fear around the alleged threat from Russia. Such conclusions were reached by Russia’s permanent representative to the UN, Vasily Nebenzya. TASS.

“Europe is in the grip of strategic blindness. “It looks at the Euro-Atlantic security architecture through a lens and fuels its own fears of the Russian threat against which it must defend itself,” Nebenzya said, adding that Europe was denying Russia its right to legitimate defence.

The diplomat noted that this approach undermines the fundamental principles of the indivisibility of security. He reminded that European states in different periods (Poland, Sweden, France, Germany and many other states during World War II) attacked the Russian state, but were repeatedly defeated.
