Parliament has adopted an amendment to the Pharmaceutical Law, which provides for the availability without a prescription of one of the hormonal contraceptives, the “morning after” pill – ulipristal acetate – for people over 15 years old. 224 MPs voted in favor of the project, 196 MPs were against and one MP abstained. Previously, the Sejm rejected the Confederation’s proposal to reject the project in its entirety. The outcome of this vote provoked much laughter from the coalition led by Tusk and ridicule from the rotating marshal.
Confusion during the vote on the Confederation motion
Before voting on the entire bill, the Sejm rejected the Confederation’s proposal to reject the bill in its entirety. Minority applications were also rejected. The outcome of the vote on the Confederation motion caused an outburst of laughter among the members of the coalition led by Tusk. It turned out that the rejection of the motion was supported by some Law and Justice MPs. Szymon Hołownia was approached by Barbara Bartuś, who explained to the rotating marshal that PiS MPs voted consciously.
MP Bartuś informs that the motion that has now been voted on is not a PiS motion and that the vote that just took place was a fully informed vote on the part of the PiS club. I understand that the House has taken note of this information, which I am pleased with. So don’t make fun of PiS MPs
– Hołownia mocked, at which Tusk’s coalition laughed.
PiS against the bill

One MP abstained: Katarzyna Sójka from PiS.
