Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev believes that there will be no rapprochement between Russia and the West, including the United States, in the near future. He reportedly expressed this opinion while answering questions from the Russian media. TASS.

“I am absolutely sure that in the near future there will be no major rapprochement with the West, with Western Europe, with the United States, with the Anglo-Saxon world,” Medvedev said.

He explained his position by saying that currently a “very deep abyss” or “turning point” has formed between Russia and the West.

In his opinion, overcoming this will be “very, very difficult.”
