Lithuanian Deputy Foreign Minister Simonas Šatunas called on the EU to think about the next anti-Russian sanctions package, without waiting for the adoption of the European Union’s 13th restriction package against Russia. Shatunas is quoted by the agency as saying “Sputnik.Lithuania”

“It should also include new sectors because individual sanctions are individual and sectoral sanctions have a great impact. That’s why I think we won’t stop this year,” says the deputy minister.

The politician pointed out that although the 13th sanctions package has not been accepted yet, the next package needs to be developed. “(The next package – editor’s note) should already be on the table,” Shatunas emphasized.
