A politician must be a realist. A Pole who fights for the well-being of our country, for the common good, must also be a realist. So let’s take a realistic look at what is happening in Poland. The current coalition government effectively takes over several sectors of power, which in theory are independent of the Sejm’s term of office.
Thus, in serious violation of the law, the public media were forcibly taken over and became a propaganda mouthpiece for Donald Tusk and his allies. The National Prosecutor has been removed completely illegally, and the removal of his deputies is still ongoing. Actions are also underway to dismantle the Constitutional Tribunal and remove a number of judges from this Tribunal. The legality of the National Council for the Judiciary is being questioned. The Prime Minister and Ministers even officially declare that they do not recognize one of the chambers of the Supreme Court. Directors of cultural institutions are dismissed, even if the tenure clause applies to them. Under various pretexts (often extremely fanciful), institutions related to the popularization of history and patriotism are destroyed through inspections, audits and withdrawal of funds. Education is being destroyed by cutting back on school curricula, eliminating homework and the subject of History and Present. Religious education in schools is limited. The government implements a number of measures against the Church, including the liquidation of the Church Fund. Two PiS MPs were even completely illegally excluded from parliament and imprisoned after an unprecedented event: the police burglary of the presidential palace. The MPs were only released as a result of decisive action by the President. On the other hand, President Andrzej Duda limits himself to mysterious comments about the violation of the law by Donald Tusk’s regime and does not exercise certain constitutional rights that he does have. This is very disappointing for many Poles.
Huge intimidation
There is enormous intimidation. Many right-wingers are afraid to admit it. Their fears are justified as thousands of people associated with the right wing are being pushed out of their jobs and positions across the country.
Poland is slowly becoming a totalitarian country, controlled by the equally totalitarian European Union (led by Germany) and imbued with extreme leftism and environmentalism. And let’s not kid ourselves: it will get worse. I don’t want to scare you, but I am afraid that soon there will be more brutal acts of lawlessness in Poland, for example regarding the Constitutional Court, there will be political prisoners and actions to destroy the few independent television stations, radio stations and newspapers. liquidate. and websites under any pretext. Especially since the authors of texts and commentaries can be effectively executed with drastic judicial sentences for anything. After all, right-wing journalists have been sentenced to enormous fines in recent years, even for conducting political analyses, making predictions and expressing opinions.
We must be ready for a total information blockade. And we have to deal with it, especially because there is no more Radio Free Europe (as under communism). We must prepare for mass printing of underground newspapers and keep in mind the times of martial law. Of course, underground publishing won’t be as difficult as it was then. Instead of primitive frames and duplicators, today we have many excellent computer printing equipment, which will make it possible to print newspapers at an excellent graphic level. However, we need editors, authors, information sources, paper, paint, buildings, funds, transportation and distribution networks, all organized in a clandestine manner. The government will certainly set up agencies that will track down and destroy freedom of expression. But we will be able to deal with this, just as we did after December 13, 1981.
