Former FBI informant Alexander Smirnov has been charged with perjury in the case of US President Joe Biden’s son Hunter’s involvement in business dealings with Ukrainian energy company Burisma. This was reported by RIA News.

From the indictment special prosecutor David Weiss says Smirnov, 43, has been cooperating with the FBI since 2010 and is a confidential source of information. In the “Biden case” in 2020, he gave false information to the intelligence service after Biden Sr. ran for president of the United States.

The document states that the information provided by Smirnov “is a forgery, an amalgamation of extraordinary business meetings and contacts.” These did happen, but not at the time he claimed and not for the purpose of discussing bribing Joe Biden.

Smirnov alleged that executives of the Ukrainian firm Burisma paid the Bidens $5 million for Hunter to “handle all the business through his father.”

The special counsel did not find this convincing. Smirnov has been arrested and will appear in court soon.

February 14 US Department of Justice evidence found Hunter Biden’s drug use.

Previously in the US Congress said About the decision to launch an impeachment inquiry against Biden.
