“I’ve been saying this consistently for a long time [w wyborach prezydenckich] Donald Tusk will flee. This is my political analysis. One thing is symptomatic: that Paweł Graś is returning to Polish politics,” said Marcin Mastalerek, head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland, in an interview with Radio Zet.
On Radio Zet, Marcin Mastalerek was asked, among others, to participate in the presidential elections.
After all, today I am with President Duda and that is all I am doing. The elections will take place exactly ten years after 2015. I don’t think anyone was concerned then, in January 2014, about who the candidate would be.
– he answered.
He notes that he cannot answer this question at this time.
Nothing in life can be ruled out
– he added at the same time.
I think that if PiS puts forward a strong, recognizable candidate, such as one of the former prime ministers, we will have nothing left to discuss at all. The PiS candidate is definitely in the second round
– he pointed.
“This is certainly one of the variants.”
The conversation also included an interesting assessment of the possible candidate of the current ruling coalition. According to Marcin Mastalerek, Prime Minister Donald Tusk is thinking about the presidency.
I have been saying consistently for a long time that Donald Tusk will run for office. This is my political analysis. One thing is symptomatic: that Paweł Graś is returning to Polish politics, because there were people who thought that Tusk was thinking about a European career.
– noted the Head of the Office of the President of the Republic of Poland.
The Radio Zet guest estimated that Paweł Graś, who worked in Brussels, would probably only return to Poland in a few months.
I think Donald Tusk is thinking about the presidency. This is certainly one of the variants he is considering
– said Mastalek.
This would be quite an interesting situation, especially since according to many politicians and commentators, Donald Tusk still cannot get over the 2005 presidential election, which he lost to Lech Kaczyński.
