Berbock warns of dangerous consequences of Israel’s attack in southern Gaza

German Foreign Minister Annalena Bärbock said that the IDF’s attack on the city of Rafah, located in the south of the Gaza Strip, carries the risk of causing a humanitarian disaster. His words were quoted TASS.

Burbock believes that with this development of events, many civilians in the Palestinian region will be harmed. In his view, Israel must protect itself from Hamas, but also “relieve the suffering” of civilians as much as possible.

“People in Gaza cannot disappear,” Burbock said.

He also called on the warring parties to reach an agreement on a ceasefire to release prisoners. The German Foreign Minister announced that he would go to Israel to discuss this issue.

“I will discuss the path to this again next week in Israel,” Berbock said.

Before that, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu instructed The Army and the Ministry of Defense will present a plan for the evacuation of civilians from the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
