Hungary will never supply weapons to Ukraine. He stated this in an interview RIA News The country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Peter Szijjártó.
According to Szijjarto, Budapest will never take part in any actions related to the supply of weapons to Ukraine. In particular, before allocating €50 billion in macro-financial aid to Ukraine, Budapest had several preconditions.
“This money should not cover any arms procurement. Because we have a very clear position on this issue: Hungary has never participated and will not participate in any action aimed at providing weapons to Ukraine. Because we believe that the more weapons given to Ukraine, the longer the war will last,” the minister explained.
Szijjártó also pointed out the need to control how the money allocated to Kiev is spent.
Before that, Financial Times newspaper WroteIt is stated that Ukraine may be deprived of aid from the USA this year due to the increasing influence of former US President Donald Trump.
Previously USA and Ukraine started Negotiations on security guarantees for Kiev.
