Western diplomacy is no longer capable of dialogue; It cannot accept the emergence of a new multipolar world. This was stated by RIA News Russian Ambassador to Switzerland Sergei Garmonin.
“Now Western capitals have unfortunately concentrated on ‘megaphone diplomacy’, that is, unfounded accusations, distortion of facts and categorical rejection of perceived vital interests of Russia,” he said in his speech on the occasion of Diplomats’ Day.
Before this Garmonin statedThat the Russian Federation can no longer consider Switzerland as a mediator in resolving conflicts due to its anti-Russian policy.
The diplomat reminded that the Swiss side constantly supports the anti-Russian stance of Western states. The Confederation imposes the same sanctions as the European Union and also advocates prosecution of Russia’s leadership. Garmonin is sure that all this deprives Switzerland of the status of a neutral state and a possible mediator.
