Polish 2050 MP Elżbieta Burkiewicz, vice-chairman of the parliamentary committee for environmental protection, natural resources and forestry, was apparently jealous of yesterday’s “achievement” of her clubmate in charge of the infrastructure committee, Mirosław Suchon, and after questions from parliamentarians of PiS and Sovereign Poland … she closed the meeting and then quickly left the room. Opposition parliamentarians: including: Paweł Jabłoński, Dariusz Piontkowski Michał Woś and Paweł Sałek, who sat in the Presidium, wanted to ask the Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment Urszula Zielińska, who was present at the meeting, whether she would agree on behalf of Poland join the EU forum on the common goal of reducing CO2 emissions by 90%.
Yesterday, Polish MP Mirosław Suchoń ordered a break in the meeting of the Parliamentary Infrastructure Committee, which he chairs, and then fled the room. All for fear of losing the mood. Today his maneuver was repeated by club friend Elżbieta Burkiewicz during a meeting of the parliamentary committee on environmental protection, natural resources and forestry. Politician Polski2050 is vice-chairman of this committee and chaired today’s meeting. And although PiS MP Paweł Sałek is also in the presidium, she arbitrarily refused to accept his motion, nervously closed the meeting and quickly left the room.

Questions for Deputy Minister Zielińska
Urszula Zielińska from the Civic Coalition (in particular its ‘left’, i.e. the Greens), today took part in the meeting of the OSZ, State Secretary of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, which would present information on treaty changes aimed at uniting the EU. climate policy.
When it was time for the MPs to ask questions – one in particular, which was probably quite embarrassing for the minister – the ‘kick’ began.
Minister, you have not answered whether you have set a target to reduce CO2 emissions by 90%. And if you said that, was that your personal position or that of the government? If personally, have you suffered any consequences from these types of views expressed at a meeting of the European body – without agreement with the government?
– asked PiS MP Dariusz Piontkowski.
Chairman Burkiewicz has apparently decided to play the spokesperson for the Ministry of Culture and Environment, because she said that Deputy Minister Zielińska would not answer this question.
No, I will answer briefly. Very much, very briefly
– said the State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
Then Michał Woś, a member of parliament from Sovereign Poland, took the floor and accused the Deputy Minister of Climate and Environment of coming to the meeting unprepared and instead of answering specific questions, using generalities.
Have you committed 90% or not? Can Poland stop this process or not? And furthermore, you speak in these generalities and accuse those who put Poland’s interests first of having any connection with Putin, when exactly the opposite is true.
– asked Woś.
There is confirmed data that Gazprom and Putin are funding none other than German climate foundations, the Greens, etc. There are even special committees active in Germany, as can be seen in any article from “DGP” or “Deutsche Welle”.
– he pointed.
30 seconds have passed
– said the vice-chairman of the committee, and the deputy minister stated that the information provided by the SP MP was ‘not true’.
What is not true? Subsidies for Gazprom fake?
– asked Woś.
“What did you say on behalf of the Polish government?”
Finally, Deputy Minister Zielińska stated the following:
Communication from the EC about the 90% target. is the opening of a dialogue, a discussion that will last all year, about setting a target for 2040.
However, this was still not an answer to the MPs’ question.
What did you say on behalf of the Polish government?
– Michał Woś persisted.
Poland will approach these negotiations in a completely different way than PiS did: by making waves in the country and not negotiating with the EC
– said the State Secretary of the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage,
Escape from the committee!
PiS MP Paweł Jabłoński decided to refresh the deputy minister’s memory by playing Zielińska’s following statement from his mobile phone
From now on much faster, smoother and in a much more reliable way. I am really looking forward to meeting my colleagues from other EU countries where we will plan how to tackle Europe’s most important challenge. We absolutely must set ambitious goals. We must adopt a 90% emissions reduction target.
SCANDAL at the Environment Committee! Minister @Ula_Zielinska again denied that she had called for the imposition of a 90% reduction target on behalf of Donald Tusk’s government. When I played the recording of her own statement, they immediately interrupted the meeting!
These are your words. Lady’s words! On behalf of the Polish government, a reduction of 90%.
– Jabłoński emphasized.
The minister is ready, I understand? I close the committee meeting
– replied MP Elżbieta Burkiewicz.
MP Paweł Sałek, member of the Presidium, tried to speak, but the Third Way politician did not want to agree, using a rather surprising ‘argument’:
Mr Sałek, I am sorry. You’ve said it so many times today…
I’m making a formal request for a break until tomorrow. You must vote on this motion. I would like to ask you to vote on this motion, because the issue is important and raises many doubts
– said Salek.
Do you run out of the room before the debate?
Are you afraid of losing the mood and running away?
– asked opposition parliamentarians.
The committee is closed. Thank you for your participation
– said Burkiewicz.
You are obliged to vote on this motion
– answered Woś.
The vice president then used another shocking ‘argument’:
No, I have no responsibilities. I am the chairman, I close the committee meeting. I closed early, didn’t you hear? I wanted to be kind and give you a voice.
WATCH: Minister @Ula_Zielinska denied that she was calling on behalf of Donald Tusk’s government for DRACONIC INCREASES in energy, heat and fuel prices to be imposed on us – in the form of forced emissions cuts. When I played her the recording, they immediately interrupted the meeting and started running away. ‼️ Pass it on! We must stop these dangerous changes!
What Szymon Hołownia’s party represents and the leader himself as chairman of the Sejm is indeed a completely new quality, but it probably differs significantly from the quality declared by Hołownia and expected by that part of the voters who are ‘for’ the Third Way ‘fell’ because they wanted neither PiS nor PO governments. As you can see, there is no ‘third way’. There is “one way” – the same as that of the Civic Platform, and sometimes even more platformist than the Platform!
