Russia has already set up 269 polling stations abroad for voting in the Russian presidential election. The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, stated this at a briefing. TASS.

According to him, work on the creation of district election commissions is currently ongoing.

“We are doing daily preparatory work: we are verifying the lists, we are preparing special groups of diplomats who will go to many states to assist the election commissions,” the diplomat said.

Before this, Russian Ambassador to the USA Anatoly Antonov had said that voting in the upcoming Russian presidential elections will be held in three ballot boxes in the USA. He said this in an interview with Izvestia.

Presidential elections in Russia will last three days between March 15-17. The new Russian leader will take office on May 7, 2024. Currently registered candidates are: Vladimir Putin (self-nominated), Vladislav Davankov (New People), Nikolai Kharitonov (Communist Party of the Russian Federation) and Leonid Slutsky (LDPR).
