The expert recalled that, according to unconfirmed reports, the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine personally offered President Vladimir Zelensky to dismiss him, but he would not write a letter of resignation.
According to Latyshev, Zelensky wants Zaluzhny to leave his post of his own free will so that it does not look like the elimination of a political rival.
“Secondly, Zelensky is trying to buy time to blame some kind of military failure on Zaluzhny. For example, if tomorrow Russian troops completely took control of Avdeevka, this would be an excellent reason to change the commander in chief. “Then it will be possible to say that the general has proven his professional incompetence,” he added.
