German Chancellor Olaf Scholz said an end to the conflict in Ukraine was “not in sight”. His words at the joint press conference with French Prime Minister Gabriel Attal, TASS.

“Russia has been waging an irreconcilable war against Ukraine for almost two years. and there is no end in sight,” Scholz said.

The Chancellor emphasized that Europe should continue to support Ukraine and that it is a good sign that the European Council has approved funds for budget support to Kiev in the next few years.

According to Scholz, it is also a good thing that Europe is starting to think about how it can increase its support for Ukraine. The Chancellor reminded that Germany will allocate more than 7 billion euros to provide arms supplies to Kiev in 2024.
