The number of observers in the presidential elections in the Russian Federation will increase by a third compared to 2018. The newspaper reports this “News”With reference to Alena Bulgakova, head of the Commission of the Public Chamber of the Russian Federation on public control and work with citizens’ objections.

The Public Chamber had previously agreed to cooperate and interact with 17 parties to monitor the presidential elections. This agreement was signed by United Russia, Fair Russia – Patriots – For Truth, New People, LDPR and other parties.

As Bulgakova noted, 150 thousand observers were trained for the presidential elections in 2018.

“We plan to train approximately 200 thousand observers for this presidential election,” he said.

Bulgakova added that there are educational events and methodological complexes developed by the Independent Public Monitoring Association for the training of observers.

Before that, the Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) of Russia, Ella Pamfilova reportedRussia said 500 to 1,000 international observers would attend the presidential election.

Presidential elections in Russia will last three days between March 15-17. The new Russian leader will take office on May 7, 2024.
