American entrepreneur Elon Musk made an offer to the users of his social network X Vote up or down on the removal of Alejandro Mayorkas, head of the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

It invited users to decide whether Secretary Mayorkas should be removed from office for “willfully breaking the law and causing a significant increase in illegal immigration to unprecedented levels above all historical levels.”

More than 127 thousand people participated in the voting as of 23:30 Moscow time. 90.9 percent accepted the dismissal of the minister.

Before this, American political scientist Malek Lipov said that the real dismissal of Alejandro Mayorkas, the head of the US Department of Homeland Security, who is accused of the migration crisis, would not be possible. The expert believes that even if Republicans support this resolution, Democrats will vote against it.
