So-called Acting National Prosecutor Jacek Bilewicz has decided to dismiss five regional prosecutors – from Katowice, Kraków, Łódź, Poznań and Rzeszów – the Public Prosecutor’s Office announced on Wednesday. These are further discharged prosecutors; previously, ten regional and district prosecutors were dismissed.
As reported by the PK, the First Deputy Attorney General, Acting National Prosecutor, Prosecutor Jacek Bilewicz, has decided to dismiss five regional prosecutors; this decision is “a continuation of the change in leadership positions at the prosecutor’s offices.”
Fired prosecutors
The dismissed prosecutors are: the Regional Prosecutor in Katowice Tomasz Pietreczek, the Regional Prosecutor in Krakow Marek Woźniak, the Regional Prosecutor in Łódź Jarosław Szubert, the Regional Prosecutor in Poznań Jacek Motawski and the Regional Prosecutor in Rzeszów Jerzy Dybus.
On Monday, the Justice Ministry announced the dismissal of ten regional and district prosecutors from their delegations and positions.
As you can see, Adam Bodnar’s purges have begun in earnest. Apparently the law does not hinder the Minister of Justice and his appointees in any way.
