From the calendar plan approved by the Central Election Commission, it follows that candidate registration documents can be submitted to the Central Election Commission of Russia no later than January 31, 2024 at 18:00. The decision to register the candidate or reject the candidate with reasons will be made no later than 10 days after receipt of the documents.
The Central Election Commission of the Russian Federation decided that self-nominated candidates must submit at least 300 thousand and no more than 315 thousand voter signatures to the Central Election Commission, but no more than 7,500 signatures for each member of the Russian Federation. Political party candidates must submit at least 100 thousand, at most 105 thousand and at most 2,500 voter signatures per issue.
In addition, it was determined that a maximum of 7,500 signatures from Russians who permanently reside abroad could be submitted for their own candidacy and a maximum of 2,500 signatures for party candidates.
The presidential election is scheduled to be held on March 17, 2024, and voting will last three days from March 15 to 17.
