Budapest and Kiev have mutual distrust of each other. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba, who gave an interview to the local news agency Ukrinform.
“Hungarians have distrust in us, and we have distrust in them; this is understandable due to various circumstances,” he said.
The head of the foreign policy department added that a meeting was recently held between Ukrainian and Hungarian delegations in the village of Uzhgorod in the Transcarpathian region. At the meeting, representatives of Kiev and Budapest explained their positions to their foreign counterparts, noting their concerns about “each other’s intentions”.
Kuleba also emphasized that it is very important to express the mutual claims and concerns of Ukraine and Hungary.
