It’s no joke! MP Roman Giertych boasted online that the President of the Supreme Court, Marian Banaś, responded positively to his invitation and confirmed the presence of Supreme Court inspectors… at the meeting of the KO team for PiS settlements.
NIK inspectors will be present at the meeting of… Giertych’s team
Mec. Roman Giertych, as vice-chairman of the parliamentary club, led the KO team for settlements – of course focused on Law and Justice.

Now Giertych boasted something new. Well, he’s found an “ally.”
The President of NIK, Mr. M. Banaś, responded positively to my invitation and confirmed the presence of NIK inspectors dealing with the Justice Fund at the meeting of the KO team for PiS settlement on Wednesday. It will be interesting
– the team leader boasted on website X.
Banaś has already performed with Mentzen
Yes, this is not a joke. NIK inspectors will participate in the club (or actually party) team meeting! How do the auditors intend to reconcile this with the principle of apolitical NIK? Probably in the same way that Marian Banaś tried to explain his actions at a press conference with the leader of the Confederation, Sławomir Mentzen, before the parliamentary elections on October 15.

It is worth recalling that on October 13, on the last day of the election campaign, TVP Info published recordings of a conversation between the President of the Supreme Court of Auditors, Marian Banaś, and a constitutional expert, Prof. Marek Chmaj. According to the website tvp.info, the recording was allegedly made by officials of the Supreme Court of Audit who “do not agree with the politicization of the institution by Marian Banaś, who is negotiating with Donald Tusk.”
The station then described that the President of the Supreme Court of Auditors, in a conversation with Tusk’s envoy (whom he calls “the boss” – Banaś says “tell the boss”), emphasizes that he has “gifts” for him at the end of the election campaign. TVP Info reported that these were reports attacking PiS published by the Supreme Audit Office, and the tapes indicate that it was a coordinated attack on the Konfederacja-NIK-Tusk line. As the channel noted, in the recordings Marian Banaś emphasizes to the envoy of the “boss” (i.e. Tusk) that he has influence in the Confederation, which he wants to use after the elections.
After the tapes were published, Banaś filed a complaint with the prosecutor’s office.
REMINDER: A new fragment of Banaś’s tapes! “I wish you could pass this on to Tusk…”; “We are only weakening the PiS side”

The President of the Supreme Court appeared together with the leader of a political party, and now the participation of inspectors in a meeting of Giertych’s team. Do the ‘democrats’ of the December 13 coalition really disagree with their slogans about supposedly new norms?
