The head of Crimea, Sergei Aksenov, said that his personal acquaintance with Russian President Vladimir Putin first took place in the spring of 2014, but the peninsula was not like that. He explained the details of the first meeting in an interview with the TV channel. “Vesti-Crimea”.

According to Aksenov, he met through Sevastopol on one of the ships of the Russian Navy. “From there we went to Sochi by ship, and then we arrived there by helicopter,” the regional head said.
Aksenov summarized that as a result, he successfully flew to Sochi by helicopter and was able to have his first personal meeting with the president on March 1.
The Crimean leader added that he was proud to invite the Russian President to the team. He came to the conclusion that in Crimea, all events after returning to Russia took place almost painlessly and quickly, thanks to the Crimeans and the Russian leader’s personal control of the situation.
