The Internet is reacting after the Justice Ministry announced that Minister Bodnar is “restoring the dignity” of the prosecutors demoted by Zbigniew Ziobro, who contributed to the detention and filing of charges by the Belarusian regime of oppositionist Ales Bialyatsky. “The previous government of Tusk provided data, the current one rewards the perpetrators,” he writes, among other things. PiS politician Radosław Fogiel.
Bodnar “restores dignity”
The Attorney General has taken the first step towards restoring the dignity of the prosecutors of the former Public Prosecutor’s Office, who were demoted to the lowest level units by Zbigniew Ziobro in 2016.
– the Ministry of Justice announced yesterday.
Those whose dignity should be restored by being appointed to a position at the National Public Prosecution Service include: Krzysztof Karsznicki and Anna Adamiak, dismissed by former Justice Minister Zbigniew Ziobro in connection with the case of transfer to Minsk in 2011 – in response at the request of local authorities for legal assistance – data of Belarusian oppositionists, including the Nobel Peace Prize winner Ales Bialatsky, sentenced to many years of imprisonment in a penal colony. His bank account history was provided. As Ziobro noted, this evidence “could have been the basis for the subsequent repression against the Belarusian oppositionist and his arrest by the Belarusian investigative authorities in early August 2011 and his conviction for alleged tax crimes.”
“The previous Tusk government provided the data, the current one rewards the perpetrators.
The information about the reinstatement of discredited prosecutors did not escape the attention of social media users, including politicians and journalists.
Restore dignity?! According to Adam Bodnar, the dignity of the prosecutors who provided Belarus with Ales Bialiatsky’s data has been violated! Now they have to return to PK. Lukashenko likes this!
— said former Secretary of State of the Ministry of the Interior Sebastian Kaleta on the X platform.

Something wonderful. Min. Bodnar returns to Prok. Krajowa Anna Adamiak and Krzysztof Karsznicki. As Newsweek reported in 2011, they both participated in providing the Lukashenko regime with data that was used to convict Ales Byyatsky, who remains in a labor camp.

Minister Bodnar promoted the prosecutor responsible for providing the data to the opposition Nobel Peace Prize winner Ales Byalatsky, who was sentenced to ten years in a penal colony. He does this as part of the ‘restoration of dignity and honor’. The previous Tusk government provided the data, the current one rewards the perpetrators
– PiS MP Radosław Fogiel responded aptly
There was an order: not to release documents about Byalyatsky
Publicists Cezary Gmyz and Wojciech Wybranowski draw attention to an interesting aspect of the case.
I can still remember this case perfectly. Prosecutor Elżbieta Janicka issued a clear advice: do not release documents about Byalatsky because he is an oppositionist persecuted by Lukashenko. Despite this, the documents were sent and Aleś was sent to a gulag, where he remains to this day, with short breaks.
– wrote on the X platform.
Prosecutor Anna Adamiak, honored by @Adbodnar, was – as reported by former prosecutor Seremet – a person who indirectly contributed to the arrest of Ales Byalatsky by Belarusians. As a representative of the case, she addressed the request of the Belarusian authorities for data on financial flows on behalf of this famous Belarusian oppositionist. She ignored Prosecutor Seremet’s recommendations.
– we read in Wybranowski’s contribution.
