In the context of International Holocaust Remembrance Day today, the German Ambassador to Poland, Viktor Elbling, expressed his belief on social media that “we do not want and cannot forget what happened during the Second World War.” PiS MP Arkadiusz Mularczyk replied.
German ambassador to Poland when it comes to remembering the victims of the Holocaust during International Day of Remembrance, proves to be extremely exuberant in expressing expressions of regret and remembrance. With the phrase ‘This will never happen again’ he even draws an analogy with contemporary events in the Middle East and Western Europe.
For me personally, it is very important to send a clear signal here in Poland, which suffered so much during the Second World War: we do not want and cannot forget what happened. And we will not forget what can happen. ‘Never again’ is now the order
– said Viktor Elbling on the X platform.
Polish waiting
The former deputy head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responsible for the issue of obtaining war compensation, PiS MP Arkadiusz Mularczyk, commented on the cordial and commendable words of the Ambassador of the Federal Republic.
The politician pointed out that no one in Poland forgets what happened in our country during the German occupation. Moreover, the Poles are still waiting for the resolution of the issue of German reparations to Poland for the terrible losses caused by the German invasion and several years of occupation.
Mr. German Ambassador, we have not forgotten, but we are still waiting for Germany to compensate for the damage done to Poland during the Second World War. @PLreparations
