Leaders of U.S. allies are wary of former President Donald Trump’s rise to power as they try to prepare for possible interactions with the new Trump administration and are working with contacts in Washington to find out who might be among his inner circle. An American newspaper reports this Wall Street Magazine.
“Leaders of many of America’s closest allies fear an administration willing to ignore diplomatic norms and traditions… Foreign governments are working with their contacts in Washington to prepare for (Trump’s rise to power – editor’s note) in hopes of finding out who is whose . “The publication can look at the next Trump’s environment and what his political ideas might look like,” he said.
According to leaders of countries allied to Washington, the Trump administration is “ready to ignore diplomatic norms and traditions.” But some heads of state are already “touting steps they’ve taken in recent years, such as increasing military spending, that they know are important to Trump.”
