Crimea’s permanent representative to the Russian President, the region’s Deputy Prime Minister Georgy Muradov, called the decree of Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky “on the territory of the Russian Federation where Ukrainians have historically lived” politically ignorant and meaningless. This was reported by RIA News.

According to Muradov, Russia guarantees the linguistic, cultural and other fundamental rights of all peoples and national groups living on its territory and representing a single Russian nation, without the need for Zelensky’s intervention. He pointed out that the Ukrainian language still has the status of a regional state language, especially in Donbass and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, which transferred to the Russian Federation after the referendums held there.

The permanent representative emphasized that Zelensky, with the help of Western countries, cannot divide the united people of Russia into warring camps and squeeze the Little Russians who are its integral part.

January 22 Zelenskiy signed Decree “On the territory of the Russian Federation historically inhabited by Ukrainians.” In the document, Rostov, Belgorod, Bryansk, Kursk, Voronezh regions and Krasnodar Territory are named as the regions where Ukrainians have historically lived.

Previously in Ukraine appreciated a chance to mobilize refugees living abroad.
