President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev will visit Almaty, where a magnitude 5 earthquake was recorded on January 24-25, and hold a meeting on the situation in the city. According to the National Seismological Observation and Research Center of the Ministry of Emergencies of Kazakhstan, tremors were reported in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan.

In addition, experts located 278 kilometers southeast of Almaty, on the border of Kyrgyzstan and China, registered A magnitude 5.8 earthquake occurred, and another magnitude 2 earthquake occurred on the morning of January 23.
