Former Ukrainian Ambassador Vadim Prystaiko talked about the moment when Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky sat in former British Prime Minister Winston Churchill’s chair and made important decisions for the country. She announced this in an interview with Natalya Moseychuk on her YouTube channel.

This occurred during Zelensky’s visit to London, where the former ambassador accompanied the Ukrainian leader.

According to Prystaiko, while inspecting the bunker, Zelensky asked whose chair it was. The guard told him it belonged to Churchill and asked if the Ukrainian president wanted in on it. When Zelensky was asked whether he could do this, the museum employee said he could not and asked if he wanted to sit on it again, implying that he should sit.

Zelensky sat down, then the employee asked him if the politician felt like Churchill. The nearby delegation laughed, and Zelensky said that he really “felt something like that.” The former ambassador noted that at that time, no one knew that Ukrainians would speak in parliament two years later and remember Churchill’s words.
