I am open to negotiating changes in the legal system, but there is a “boundary condition”; I will not allow any verification of judges appointed during the 8.5 years I have been president, President Andrzej Duda emphasized. He added that there is no doubt that the blocking of the KPO was related to an attempt to force a change of government in Poland.
On Sunday, President Andrzej Duda took part in the celebrations of the 161st anniversary of the January Uprising, taking place in Vilnius. After meeting with Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda, both leaders took part in a press conference. Andrzej Duda was asked about information in the media that the European Commission is “looking for a way to circumvent” a possible presidential veto and is “considering transferring money from the KPO” as money from the structural funds.
Some time ago, former Prime Minister and now MEP Leszek Miller said that the most important milestone when it comes to obtaining money from the KPO is the change of power in Poland. This is essentially what Brussels wanted. The liberal-left circles that govern the European Union are party members of Prime Minister Donald Tusk. For them, Tusk’s victory in the elections, which was achieved through various so-called efforts abroad that they managed to reach, is sufficient reason to stop blocking the National Reconstruction Plan

He added that if money from the KPO flows to Poland, he will be satisfied and that this “money will certainly come in handy.” He also stated that he was open to negotiating changes to the justice system, but added that there was a “boundary condition.”

These are people who have gone through the entire procedure before joining the judiciary or being promoted. They were appointed in accordance with regulations, took an oath before the President and received nominations. I will not allow these people to be verified and prosecuted

There is a group of politician-lawyers, or rather judge-politicians and lawyer-politicians, who would like to take simple, animalistic political revenge on these people. I will never allow that.
