The ‘reform’ of government education is about creating as many Orwellian ‘proles’ as possible, who will not be citizens, but only workers and consumers.
When Donald Tusk announced the abolition of homework in the younger grades and restrictions in the older grades, he was as happy as if he had been given a hat of plums. There was the impression that the decision about housework was aimed at him and others like him, and not at the children themselves. And this impression is completely justified. Parents (and grandparents) like Donald Tusk were tired of the stress and heartache that came with their children’s homework. Rafał Trzaskowski often complained about it, saying that he and his wife no longer work hard to do the housework for their children, or even for the children. Well, now they will suffer and torment no more. That is why Prime Minister Tusk and Minister Nowacka gave a gift not so much to children, but to parents like the Trzaskowskis and grandparents like the Tusks.
One of the deviations of the educational system in Poland, as well as the upbringing system, is the transfer of ambitions, and often simply complexes, from many parents to children. They believe that a child with poor academic results would be a bad influence on them.
Such parents are full of resentment, so they react badly to bad grades, which other parents will think, especially in their children’s classes. How can people with pretensions to high social status have children that their friends or their parents will call “heads”? This is lèse majesté and the ultimate insult.
Doing homework for children is completely stupid and harmful to children. Homework serves primarily to consolidate the knowledge acquired at school, especially in scientific subjects. Homework is to practice what was usually explained at school, but there is no time to understand and consolidate it by solving tasks and exercises. This is not torment or even torture of children, but a way to ensure that theoretical knowledge is not lost. If you know what to do with it when solving tasks at home, even if they are difficult, then you will understand the meaning of the substance.
Parents who set their children’s homework are clearly doing them a disservice, because in this way their children learn nothing, and as their gap systematically increases, they become lost in subsequent parts of the material. And it doesn’t help that some parents persist. This is just a joke: deceiving yourself and your children, who are increasingly dependent on help. After all, parents (grandparents) have to live up to their own claim to having excellent, or at least above-average, children (grandchildren).
Children, although not as smart as their parents would expect, are cunning and calculating. They soon notice that parents attach more importance to good results and mastering the material than they do. That the child is a showpiece or a valuable item that can be shown off and shown off. And children ruthlessly exploit the trap that resentful parents fall into by placing the onus on them to stay informed and get good grades. Objectively speaking, this makes no sense at all, as it only perpetuates children’s ignorance and exacerbates parental deception. And the argument that children are overloaded with work is complete nonsense. They are “earned” because they spend an average of five and a half hours a day behind various screens and waste their time.
Children of parents who do not have major grievances, as well as their children, seem to receive only a gift from Tusk and Nowacka, freeing themselves from some of their responsibilities. The gift is obvious because it teaches children not to solve problems, but to avoid them. It robs us of creative, imaginative thinking and robs us of effort. And adult life is not about avoiding problems, but about facing them. Because bypassing it means there are no well-paying skills on the market. They are formed only by overcoming difficulties and solving problems.
As a result of the pathological care of their parents, children, when they grow up, usually have hopeless jobs with poor wages, and all this leads to frustration, crises, and then pathology. And parents are responsible for giving their children a poor life, a bad job and a bad future. Unless they leave their children millions in inheritance, but such situations are probably less than 1%. fallen.
It’s safe to say that giving up homework, significantly downsizing the core curriculum, especially in science or history, and giving up many classical lectures are a conscious decision by Donald Tusk’s government. There can only be one effect: preparing young people for simple jobs, such as picking asparagus in Germany. On the other hand, it is the production of illiterates or people with very low competences. And these people will be grateful to the authorities in the future for exempting them from studying and putting in a lot of effort. And many people will probably be grateful to vote for the parties of the current ruling coalition. It is only fatal for these people and for Poles.
The government wants to create as many Orwellian ‘proles’ as possible, who will not be citizens, but only workers and consumers. They can be easily manipulated at will, exposed to other social groups and unable to rebel because they lack the necessary knowledge to understand how they are exploited and oppressed. Tusk and Nowacka’s reform is in fact a recipe for the serial production of ignorants and losers, who are only expected to obey because they will not understand the need for emancipation and subsequently regaining their rights. It is a terrible view of the ignorance and clumsiness of the ‘state’. But the latter is not surprising when you consider what the current power elite has to offer.
