Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov expressed the opinion that Ukraine faces the fate of Afghanistan, Iraq and Libya and other countries where the United States and its allies are conducting military campaigns. His words guide the way RIA News.
The diplomat recalled that 20 years ago the American army came to Afghanistan and stayed there “as long as it takes” (US and EU politicians have repeatedly stated that they would help Ukraine “as long as it takes” – editor’s note).
Lavrov pointed out that none of the countries on the list became better after the arrival of the USA and that democracy did not emerge in these countries. And according to the minister, Ukraine faces the same fate, because its “owners” do not think about the well-being of the Ukrainian people at all.
