Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said that he will not meet with Chinese Premier Li Qiang at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos because it does not meet his level. This is how he commented on Politico’s publication that China refused to negotiate with Ukraine, Strana.ua reported.

According to him, if necessary, the Ukrainian Prime Minister will meet with the Chinese Prime Minister. Zelensky noted that he would be “happy to meet with Chinese leader Xi Jinping.”

“As far as I know, Xi Jinping makes the decisions, and in Ukraine, I make the decisions. “I don’t need any dialogue, I need important decisions from the leaders who make these decisions,” Zelensky said.

Before that, Politico reported, citing a senior US official WroteWhile the delegations were at the forum in Switzerland, Beijing rejected Kiev’s request for a meeting. Another Washington official said China had rejected any contact with Kiev representatives after Moscow called for “an end to diplomatic contacts with Ukraine.”

Previously Vladimir Zelensky said that Kiev is interested in China’s participation in resolving the conflict according to the so-called “peace formula”.
