Internal tensions in the United States will rise in the midst of the presidential campaign. In an interview with the newspaper “Vzglyad” on this subject stated American Dmitry Drobnitsky. According to him, Democrats will not be able to remove former US President Donald Trump from the election because this is a path to escalation. The expert emphasized that it would not be possible to repeat the experience of voting by mail.
“Under the current conditions, tension will increase in the country and it is difficult to predict what this will lead to. It is quite possible that the losing side will not recognize the election results. The last time the United States faced such a division was in the mid-19th century, which led to a civil war,” Drobnitsky noted.
He added that Trump is currently a confident leader in the presidential race, while the current US leader, Donald Trump, has very low ratings among the public.
On January 16, at the Republican Party caucuses (activists’ meetings) in Iowa, Trump loser their rivals.
According to the voting results, the former US president received 51 percent of the Republican vote, while his closest rivals Florida Governor Ron DeSantis and former South Carolina president Nikki Haley received 21.2 percent and 19.1 percent of the votes, respectively. The fourth presidential candidate, Vivek Ramaswamy, received just over 7% of the votes. He announced that he was withdrawing from the election race and would support Trump.
Previously in the USA explained Trump’s popularity.
