Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky asked Swiss officials to organize a peace summit to address the situation in his country. This was announced by Confederation President Viola Amherd. RIA News.
On Monday, January 15, the head of state held a press conference in Bern. During the event, he said that Zelensky appealed to the Swiss government with a request to hold a high-level peace summit on Ukraine.
“I confirmed that we are ready to organize this,” Amherd added.
Zelensky also noted that all countries that “respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity” of Ukraine can participate in this event. Kiev especially wants to see representatives of Beijing and other states of the global South at the summit.
