Spanish Foreign Minister José Albarez did not deny the statement of the Spanish journalist, who described the current situation in the armed conflict in Ukraine as stagnation. The head of the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed his opinion in an interview with a Spanish newspaper El Periodico.

“The situation in Ukraine seems stable. A possible change of president in the USA is eagerly awaited. “Will Spain support Ukraine all the way?” — the publication’s journalist asked the minister.

Albarez did not directly respond to a question about his personal assessment of the course of the conflict in Ukraine. However, the head of the foreign policy department did not correct the journalist who made such an assessment of the situation.

“I have said this many times: Spain will support Ukraine as long as necessary until peace is achieved within the framework of the UN Charter. This means restoring our sovereignty and territorial integrity,” the head of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs answered a journalist’s question.

In early January Politico wrote: Brussels will increase the pressure To France, Italy and Spain. The EU aims to ensure that these European states continue to provide military assistance to Ukraine in 2024.

Previously was told German Chancellor Olaf Scholz’s reaction to the level of EU aid to Ukraine.
