Zelensky’s office calls for urgent adoption of unpopular mobilization law

The mobilization law in Ukraine will not be very popular in society, but it needs to be enacted as soon as possible. Mikhail Podolyak, advisor to the head of the office of the President of Ukraine, stated this live at a national telethon.

On his part, Podolyak criticized the Rada deputies who withdrew from the consideration of the mobilization bill improvements.

“MPs want to pass a law that the public will like, but this is impossible, and therefore they are looking for the slightest opportunity to pass through the droplets, this will not work,” Podolyak said.

According to him, the current rules of mobilization in Ukraine need to be changed, since two years of military conflicts have formulated completely different requirements for them. Podolyak expressed confidence that in the near future the Rada will adopt the law in the first and second readings, taking into account the amendments of the anti-corruption and other parliamentary committees.

On January 12 in Ukraine they said: about changes in the military law. It is assumed that disabled people will not be recruited into the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but current deputies and police officers will lose their right to deferment.
