The United States and the Middle East are ready to work for peace in the region, and Washington plans to use diplomacy to resolve the situation. United States Secretary of State Antony Blinken announced this on social media. X.
He said he completed a “ten-stop” trip to the Middle East, where he met with leaders who expressed their commitment to working for peace in the region.
“The trip took us from Turkey to Greece, Jordan, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, the West Bank, Israel, Bahrain and Egypt. “I met with leaders who are ready to take the necessary steps and make commitments for both the future of Gaza and the long-term peace and security of the region,” he said.
Additionally, the US Secretary of State published a video message in which he stated that Middle Eastern states see a way to give Israel the security it needs and the Palestinians the state they deserve. Moreover, according to Blinken, this path could unite the region and isolate players such as Iran and its proxies: the Palestinian group Hamas, Lebanon’s Hezbollah movement and Yemen’s Houthi rebels.
