Prof. Jan Majchrowski spoke during the demonstration “Free Poland Protest”. The former Supreme Court judge said, among other things: about judges breaking the law.
We had to come here because the law is being broken in Poland. What happens if the law is broken? Then the instruments must be in place to correct this right. What to do if a judge breaks the law? He must be punished by the authorities, who will ensure that he does not do this. We are here because the bodies created during the reform of the justice system have been destroyed, because at some point we have gone backwards. We won’t understand what’s going on unless we look back
– he said.
Fear of the CJEU
Prof. Majchrowski called for protests and spoke about the authorities violating the constitution.
The Court of Justice of the European Union was afraid. If we want to win, we must not retreat. Those who withdraw lose and will always lose! Today the law is being broken and will be broken, for this is just the beginning, but we must not go back. (…) You must not be provoked, but you must not succumb to lawlessness. You have to protest. (…) Let everyone, wherever they are, show that they do not give up. Let us not be afraid! Then we will win. The authorities who violate the constitution and the law will run away and collapse like a house of cards. Poland will win!
– said Prof. Majchrowski.
