Fabricio Colon Pico, the leader of Ecuador’s second-largest gang, said he was ready to surrender to authorities after the country’s President Daniel Noboa called on him to surrender without preconditions. The publication reports that La Hora.

Pico said, “I want to surrender, Mr. President, I ran away because they said they would kill me… You guarantee that nothing will happen to me, I will surrender.”

Pico is the leader of the Los Lobos gang, one of the largest criminal groups in Ecuador. He managed to escape from prison just days before the riots and shootings in Ecuador this week.

Previously Ecuadorian President Daniel Noboa offered Fabricio Colon Pico, the leader of Los Lobos, the country’s largest criminal organization, will surrender without preconditions.

Noboa said only people with good reputations have the right to impose conditions, not criminals.
