The registration court did not register TVP’s neo-authorities in the National Court Register, which forcibly entered the company’s headquarters on December 19 last year. The curator of Telewizja Polska SA, Daniel Gorgosz, commented on the case. He stated in his letter that the decision was invalid and that it could be appealed.
Daniel Gorgosz was appointed curator of Telewizja Polska by the Minister of Culture Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz. This happened shortly after President Andrzej Duda did not agree to finance the new television authorities from the state budget. According to the president, many legal provisions have been violated in an attempt to change the authorities of the public media.
The registration court took the same view and refused to enter the change in the data relating to TVP in the National Court Register. The decision issued shows that the decision to appoint members of the supervisory board and the management of the company was taken by an unauthorized body.
They are not entitled to anything
Meanwhile, the curator, Daniel Gorgosz, announces that he will file a complaint against the registration court’s decision, stating that it is “illegal”.
The decision of the General Meeting of Shareholders (where 100% of the company’s shares are represented on behalf of the Ministry of Finance by the Minister of Culture and National Heritage) on the appointment of the Supervisory Board remains in force and all activities of the new Board are completely legal.
He adds that the resolution does not apply to TVP’s liquidation process.
As you can see, even the rulings of independent courts don’t matter to Sienkiewicz’s nominees.
