Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko signed a law condemning international agreements on the fight against corruption. The document was published on the legal Internet portal of the republic.
We are talking about the Civil and Criminal Liability Conventions against Corruption dated 1999. At the same time, the law signed by Lukashenko terminates the agreement between Belarus and the Council of Europe on the privileges of representatives of members of the Group of States Against Corruption (GRECO). Such a decision relieves an international organization of the obligation to provide appropriate working conditions in the republic.
In Minsk on Monday, January 8 denied Invite OSCE observers to parliamentary elections. According to Andrei Dapkiunas, the permanent representative of the Republic to international organizations in Vienna, he has already informed Matteo Mecacci, Director of the Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (OSCE/ODIHR), about this decision.
