On Tuesday, I will talk to the Minister of Sports, Sławomir Nitras, about anti-discrimination activities and violence in sports, and about possible solutions that the Polish government can introduce ‘on the fly’, Katarzyna Kotula, the Minister of Equality, said. DAD.
In an interview with PAP, Katarzyna Kotula confirmed that a meeting would take place with the head of the Ministry of Sports and Tourism.
On Tuesday we meet to discuss anti-discrimination and violence in sports
– she inquired.
“There are few women in high positions.”
As she emphasized, it is also about discrimination against women in sports clubs, “because there are few women in high positions – and not only in Poland.”
Efforts to change this problem have been made, among others, in France and the United States, and changes have taken place in the field of combating discrimination in cases of sexual violence
– she pointed out.
We want to talk about different solutions available abroad and what we can do in practice
– she said.
Kotula emphasized that this would be one of many meetings with the ministry.
And this is how ideology enters the sports world. The question is how Minister Kotula’s comments should be treated in matters falling under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Sports. Are we witnessing the birth of a super ministry of equality?
