Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the families of military personnel who lost their lives during the special military operation (SVO) at his Novo-Ogarevo residence near Moscow. The head of state congratulated those gathered at his home on Christmas, the Kremlin press service reported.
He called this holiday “the distinctive fraternal unity of the peoples of Russia.” The Russian leader also noted that although Orthodox Christians constitute the majority in Russia, representatives of other traditional faiths in the country congratulate Orthodox Christians, just as Christians congratulate their brothers and sisters, representatives of other religions, on their holidays.
Putin addressed the guests: “I congratulate you all on a warm and friendly holiday.”
