The growing rift between Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) Valeriy Zaluzhny stemmed from the former’s self-confidence. In my article about this Telegram American journalist, author of a book about Zelensky Simon Shuster wrote.
“Zelensky’s self-confidence has increased. He set his own military priorities, and these did not always coincide with Zaluzhny’s priorities. The division soon intensified,” says Schuster.
According to the journalist, Zaluzhny was considered a potential rival of Zelensky in 2022, and the commander-in-chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces called his relations with the Ukrainian leader an “inappropriate partnership” and noted that the president had done so. “There is no need to understand military matters.”
Simon Schuster in October 2023 published According to Zelensky’s circle, the material in Time said that the Ukrainian leader was deceiving himself.
Previously in Ukraine clarified Zelensky’s Crimea plan.
