The Chamber of Extraordinary Control in Public Affairs has decided that Maciej Wąsik is still a Member of Parliament, and therefore he is protected by parliamentary immunity – the portal wPolityce.pl reported. The information was officially confirmed by the Supreme Court. Mariusz Kamiński’s case, in turn, remains suspended at the Chamber of Labor and Social Security.

The case made Maciej Wąsik invoke Marshal Hołownia’s decision to end their mandate and was previously returned to the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs. Yesterday, all documentation, bypassing the archive office, was delivered to the Chamber of Labor and Social Security by Stanisław Zakrzywymski, director of the Office of the Speaker of the Sejm. Today, Judge Romuald Dalewski decided to transfer the case to the Chamber of Extraordinary Control and Public Affairs (this information was first revealed by the Interia.pl portal). Maciej Wąsik was right there in a panel of three people. The Supreme Court has not yet decided what fate will befall the second hero of this story: Mariusz Kamiński. His case will be heard by a different panel of judges in the Chamber of Labor and Social Security.
